Overview
The LT (Luxury Touring) serves as the entry-level trim for the Blazer EV but is far from "basic." In the UAE, it appeals to families moving from petrol SUVs who want a vehicle that looks aggressive but drives with the smoothness and silence of a premium EV. It features a clean, aerodynamic face without the illuminated light bar found on the higher RS trim.
Engine and Performance
Drivetrain Options: * AWD (All-Wheel Drive): Standard in many markets, using two motors to produce 288 hp and 451 Nm of torque.
FWD (Front-Wheel Drive): Available for those prioritizing maximum efficiency, producing roughly 213 hp.
Acceleration: The AWD model feels punchy off the line, reaching 0–100 km/h in approximately 6.0 seconds.
Drive Feel: It prioritizes a comfortable, composed ride over the stiff, sporty handling of the RS or SS models, making it ideal for daily city driving.
Real-World Range & Charging
Battery: Typically equipped with an 85 kWh Ultium battery pack.
Range: * FWD: Offers up to 502 km (EPA-est).
AWD: Offers up to 455 km (EPA-est).
UAE Context: In the peak of summer, expect a real-world range of roughly 380–410 km with the AC running at full blast.
Charging: Supports 150 kW DC fast charging. You can add about 120–130 km of range in 10 minutes. A full charge at home using a Level 2 wallbox takes roughly 9.5 hours.
Cabin Comfort and Practicality
The Screen: Every LT comes standard with a massive 17.7-inch diagonal infotainment touchscreen paired with an 11-inch driver information center.
Interior: Uses "Evotex" (synthetic leather) seating surfaces which are durable and easy to clean. The LT often includes the "Comfort and Convenience" package, adding heated seats and a power liftgate.
Space: Because it lacks a transmission tunnel, the interior feels incredibly airy. The rear legroom is class-leading, easily accommodating three adults.
Boot: Offers 722 liters of cargo space, which is plenty for family airport runs or grocery hauls.
Infotainment and Tech
Google Built-In: Features native Google Maps, Assistant, and the Play Store. Note: Like other new Chevrolet EVs, it does not support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Chevy Safety Assist: Standard suite includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Forward Collision Alert.
One-Pedal Driving: Includes a highly adjustable regenerative braking system, allowing you to drive almost entirely without touching the brake pedal in traffic.
Dealer Warranty and Service (Al Ghandi / Bin Hamoodah)
Price: The Blazer EV LT typically starts around AED 185,000 to AED 200,000 in the UAE.
Warranty: Standard 3-year/100,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty.
Battery Warranty: The Ultium battery is protected for 8 years or 160,000 km.
Service: Service intervals are wide (typically every 12,000–15,000 km) and involve mostly software checks and tire rotations, keeping long-term maintenance costs low.
Best Suited For
- Families wanting a large, tech-heavy SUV with plenty of range for cross-emirate trips.
- Drivers who want the "cool" look of the Blazer without the high price tag of the RS or SS trims.
- People who appreciate a soft, quiet, and comfortable ride.
Not Suited For
- Loyal Apple CarPlay or Android Auto users.
- Drivers who want the aggressive "blacked-out" styling and 21-inch wheels of the RS trim.
- Those who need a "frunk" for extra storage (the Blazer EV does not have one).
