Tesla has officially unveiled its next-generation 4680 battery cells at its Gigafactory in Austin, Texas. The new cells deliver 50% more energy density than the current generation, translating to significantly extended range for all Tesla models.
The Model 3 equipped with the new cells is expected to achieve over 700km of range on a single charge.
