Qatar Mandates EV-Ready Parking in All New Buildings

Qatar has introduced a new building code requiring all commercial and residential developments to include EV charging infrastructure in at least 20% of parking spaces. The regulation takes effect immediately for all new construction permits.

Existing buildings with more than 100 parking spaces will have until 2028 to retrofit a minimum of 10% of spaces with Level 2 charging capability.
