The manufacturer quotes WLTP figures of 510–535 km, which should be treated as laboratory estimates. In hot climates, above 40°C, expect 15-25% range reduction, bearing in mind that high-speed motorway driving and AC usage usually increase consumption. This could see real world driving range drop to under 400km.

On an 11 kW wallbox, charging 10–100% should take approximately 7–8 hours. On 7 kW wallbox, charging 10–100 should take approximately 10–11 hours. From a standard home wall socket (2-2.3 kW) charging would take 35-40+ hours. The XPeng G6 supports 11 kW AC Charging, so installing at least a 7 kW wallbox is strongly recommended.

The G6 uses fast CCS2 charging, fully compatible with ADNOC charging network as well as many DEWA public chargers. Although the car supports up to 451 kW DC charging, UAE infrastructure typically offers 50-150 kW chargers. Realistically expect 10–80% in approx. 25 minutes on a 150 kW charger. The XPENG G6 is configured as a five-seat SUV with a cabin layout focused on space efficiency and minimalist design. Despite the coupe-inspired roofline, rear passenger accommodation remains competitive for the segment. Legroom is generous and headroom remains acceptable for taller occupants due to the wide cabin and relatively low rear seat base. Rear seats recline. Comfort features include a panoramic glass roof that improves cabin light, rear air-conditioning vents for passengers, and wireless smartphone charging in the centre console. Materials follow a modern minimalist approach with soft-touch surfaces across major contact areas and synthetic leather upholstery. Cabin storage is practical for daily use, with door pockets, a centre console compartment and cupholders providing adequate space for personal items. However, there is no glovebox.

The elevated driving position provides clear forward visibility and a confident view of surrounding traffic. Seat and steering wheel adjustment allow most drivers to find a comfortable position quickly. Controls are primarily managed through the large central touchscreen interface. Physical buttons are limited, reflecting the software-led design common in modern EVs. Even the side mirrors can only be adjusted through the centre screen.

The G6 cools the cabin quickly, aided by remote climate pre-conditioning and ventilated seats. Interior materials tolerate heat exposure well, although surfaces can warm when parked in direct sunlight.

Boot capacity is 571 litres, expanding to 1,752 litres with rear seats folded. The wide opening and low loading height make it suitable for family luggage and airport runs. There is no frunk.

The XPENG G6 prioritises stability and refinement rather than sporty handling. On highways the car feels planted and predictable, with well-controlled body movement and minimal vibration through the steering wheel. Cabin refinement is strong for the segment. Wind noise remains well suppressed at typical motorway speeds around 120 km/h, and tyre noise is reasonably controlled on coarse highway surfaces.

The Performance AWD model delivers strong acceleration thanks to its dual-motor setup, accelerating 0–100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds – supercar territory not long ago. Power delivery is immediate, making overtaking effortless when joining fast-moving traffic on highways.

Regenerative braking is adjustable and supports one-pedal driving. The system is smooth once familiar, while conventional braking remains predictable.

Adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist support long highway journeys but still require active driver supervision.

Steering is light and accurate, allowing the G6 to manoeuvre easily in urban traffic and tight multi-storey parking structures common in UAE malls.

Suspension tuning prioritises comfort. The G6 absorbs expansion joints and uneven road surfaces effectively while maintaining stable body control at motorway speeds.
