2026 Jetour G700 Review UAE
Official Range and Battery Spec
All JETOUR G700
variants use a 34.13 kWh lithium battery pack.
Electric-only
range: 100km CLTC
Hybrid Range: 1,000km
(claimed)
800V
architecture
Peak DC charging
capability up to 170 kW
Real-World
Range
The manufacturer
quotes a combined range of 1,000km, which should be treated as laboratory
estimates.
In hot climates
above 40°C, expect 15-25% range reduction, bearing in mind that high-speed
motorway driving and AC usage usually increase consumption. This could see real
world driving range drop to 800km.
Home Charging Times and Setup
On an 11 kW
wallbox, charging 10100% should take approximately 3.54 hours.
On 7 kW wallbox, charging
10100 should take approximately 5.56 hours.
From a standard
home wall socket (2-2.3 kW) charging would take 15-17 hours.
The Jetour G700
supports 11 kW AC Charging, so installing at least an 11 kW wallbox (or higher)
is strongly recommended.
Compatibility
with DEWA and Public Fast Chargers
The G700 uses fast
CCS2 charging, fully compatible with ADNOC charging network as well as many DEWA
public chargers.
Although 800V
platforms are capable of faster speeds, the G700 supports only up to 170 kW DC
charging.
With the standards
UAE infrastructure of 50-150 kW chargers, the G700 can realistically be charged
from 30%80% in approx. 10 minutes on a 150 kW charger, due to a compact 34.13
kWh battery pack unit.
Since it is capped
at 170kW, the G700 will not benefit from ultrafast 400 kW+ chargers which are
increasingly available in the UAE.
📊 TABLE Battery and Charging
Cabin Comfort
The JETOUR G700 SUV is available in both five seat (2+3) and six seat
(2+2+2) versions with a roomy cabin that features cool, European design and
near-luxury details. The boxy exterior provides excellent headroom for
passengers in all rows with good legroom, particularly in the six-seat version.
Rear passenger accommodation is comparable to premium Japanese and
European rivals in the segment. Second row features captains chairs with
folding armrests. Rear seats recline. The Flagship trim features air suspension
which can kneel for easier access.
Comfort features include a dual-pane panoramic glass roof allowing for
a light and airy cabin, standard rear air-conditioning vents for passengers,
and wireless smartphone charging in the centre console.
Cabin materials follow standard European luxury trends with soft-touch
surfaces across major contact areas. Synthetic leather upholstery is standard
on Comfort variants, while Nappa leather is standard on the Flagship variant.
The cabin has ample storage areas with deep door pockets, a sizeable centre
console compartment and up to 8 cupholders providing significant space for
personal items. The center console features a chiller box that can cool up to 4
500ml water bottles.
Driver Comfort
The large greenhouse area and boxy shape allow for excellent visibility
in all directions, while all seats are supportive with ample adjustment to find
a comfortable position. Memory seats comes as standard on the Comfort base
model, while the Flagship version receives memory seats for both first and
second rows.
The driver can view all essential data on the panoramic screen that
stretches across the dashboard, unencumbered by the steering wheel. Most major
functions are managed through the touchscreen, as is common on most Chinese
luxury vehicle. Redundant physical buttons are present for the climate control
system.
AC Performance and Cabin Cooling
Built with the GCC market in mind, the G700 has strong Tri-Zone climate
control air conditioning that keeps all three rows cool with a full complement
of 10 vents distributed across the cabin.
The centre storage bin can hold up to 4 500 ml drinks bottles, while
the glovebox has its own vent to keep electronics or snacks cool.
Luggage Capacity
Boot capacity is 540 litres, expanding to 2,195 litres with all rear
seats folded. An upwards-opening tailgate and square opening make for a large
and spacious cargo area, though access to luggage can be challenging with the
high ground clearance.
Only the Flagship variant features air suspension which can kneel the
car for easy access.

Battery safety
claims include a lithium Ion Phosphate battery which is more stable in
excessive heat conditions as present in the UAE.
The battery pack is rated to IP68 standards, meaning it can survive sustained water
immersion, and is encased in a high-strength steel shell to protect against unexpected
off-road damage.
DRIVING DYNAMICS AND SAFETY
How Does it
Drive?
The Jetour G700 prioritises off-road ability and high-tech capability
over car-like agility. On highways this heavyweight SUV uses its mass to good
advantage and feels stable, with minimal body roll. Body movement is well
controlled on both the steel-spring and air suspension cars, and little road
noise or vibrations are felt through the steering wheel.
Despite the boxy looks, the G700 is a quiet, comfortable long distance
cruiser with good acoustic insulation at motorway speeds of 120 km/h, with
minimal tyre noise detected on traditional bitumen. Tyre noise is reasonably
controlled on coarse highway surfaces.
Off-road
The G700 includes 7 Off-road modes including dedicated Sand, Mud and
Rock settings, each adjusting the traction control and power outputs to best
suit the selected terrain.
Highlights include a Tank Turn allowing the G700 to spin on its own axis, and
Crab Walk allowing diagonal movement for especially tight obstacles.
Off-road, the car is stable and easy to drive with good agility and
abundant power in soft sand. The three factory installed diff locks work well
when climbing rocks or extricating the car from soft sand.
Performance
With its 2.0-turbo engine and dual electric motors, the G700 is a true
performance off-road hybrid, with up to 904 hp available. When the battery is
fully charged, this SUV can accelerate from 0100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. The
instantaneous power delivery is especially useful off-road when climbing large
dunes or in very soft sand.
The regular petrol engine acts quickly to keep the electric battery charged.
Considering the substantial 3,200 kerb weight, the G700 responds well to
throttle application with substantial overtaking power always available to the
driver.
Braking
Regenerative braking is adjustable and supports one-pedal driving. The
braking distance is acceptable, if unexceptional in the segment.
Autopilot Systems
Modern ADAS systems including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping
assist make long highway journeys effortless; where the G700 shines is with its
integrated Traffic Jam Assist which controls the SUV well at typical low
manoeuvring speeds of up to 60km/h, considerably reducing driver fatigue.
Handling
Considering the size of the vehicle, the steering is light and direct,
allowing for easy placement in malls or tight car parks. In its various
off-road modes, the steering reduces assistance to provide more feedback.
Ride
On, or off-road, the suspension tuning defaults towards comfort and a
luxury feel. The G700 generally absorbs coarse and uneven road surfaces well
with few impacts reaching the cabin.
