2025 Geely Geometry C Review UAE
Battery Spec
Two lithium-ion
battery packs are offered on a 400-volt architecture. The 400 GS carries a 53
kWh pack with a claimed WLTP range of approximately 350 km. The 550 GF upgrades
to a 70 kWh pack, extending WLTP range to approximately 460–485 km. A heat pump
is standard on both variants — a meaningful efficiency advantage in cooler
months and a rare inclusion at this price.
Real-World Range
UAE summer
conditions reduce WLTP figures by 15–25%. The 53 kWh variant realistically
delivers 280–300 km in cooler months, dropping to 260–280 km in peak summer.
The 70 kWh variant sits between 370 and 410 km in mild conditions, falling to
345–380 km under sustained AC load and motorway speeds. The heat pump partially
offsets winter efficiency losses, maintaining stronger cold-weather performance
than competitors without one.
Home Charging
Both variants accept
11 kW AC via Type 2. The 53 kWh GS charges from 0–100% in approximately 5.5 to
six hours on a villa wall box; the 70 kWh GF takes 7.5 to 8.5 hours. At DEWA's
residential rate of AED 0.23/kWh, a full charge costs approximately AED 12.20
(GS) or AED 16.10 (GF). In Abu Dhabi at the expatriate rate of AED 0.27/kWh,
costs rise to AED 14.30 (GS) or AED 18.90 (GF).
Public Fast Charging
DC fast charging via
CCS2 peaks at approximately 53 kW for the 400 GS, reaching 20–80% in around 36
minutes. The 550 GF supports approximately 60 kW, completing 10–80% in around
42 minutes. These charging speeds are modest by 2025 standards — buyers relying
heavily on public DC infrastructure should factor in longer stop times compared
to 100 kW+ rivals. Compatible UAE networks: DEWA Green Charger, E2GO, UAEV, and
GreenParking.

Geely Geometry C — Battery & Charging
Cabin Comfort
The Geometry C seats
five across a 2,700 mm wheelbase. Alcantara upholstery features throughout,
with the 550 GF adding heated and ventilated front seats. Rear legroom is
adequate for two adults; the centre seat is narrow. The flat battery floor
creates a level rear footwell. Adjustable ambient lighting with music
synchronisation adds a modern touch to the cabin.
Driver Comfort
The driving position
is set at a typical crossover height, providing clear forward visibility
through urban traffic. The steering column adjusts for rake and reach. A HUD
projects speed and navigation data. The 12.3-inch floating touchscreen is
positioned within easy reach. Driver seat memory is standard on the 550 GF.
AC Performance
Automatic climate
control is standard. The integrated heat pump serves dual duty — warming the
cabin efficiently in winter and reducing compressor load in moderate
conditions. Ventilated front seats on the GF assist cooling in peak summer. No
remote pre-cooling via mobile app has been confirmed for the UAE-spec model.
The compact cabin volume means cool-down times from 50°C+ ambient are faster
than larger SUVs.
Luggage
Boot capacity is 417
litres with the rear seats upright, expanding to 1,308 litres with the 60:40
split bench folded — competitive for the compact crossover segment. The boot
floor is flat and the loading lip is low. No frunk is available.
Infotainment
A 12.3-inch floating
touchscreen handles navigation, media, and vehicle settings. Apple CarPlay and
Android Auto connectivity is supported. Arabic language support for the
infotainment system is confirmed for the UAE-spec model. The Bose eight-speaker
audio system with subwoofer is a segment standout at this price point. A
wireless charging pad is fitted to both trims.
Safety
Six airbags are
standard across both trims. The ADAS suite includes AEB, adaptive cruise
control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and front/rear collision
warnings. A 360-degree camera with 540-degree transparent chassis view aids
low-speed manoeuvring. Euro NCAP has not tested the Geometry C, though Geely's
wider portfolio — including the five-star EX5 — demonstrates the group's
structural engineering capability.
How Does it Drive?
The
front-wheel-drive layout and compact footprint make the Geometry C agile in
urban settings. The low centre of gravity from the floor-mounted battery
reduces body roll through roundabouts. Visibility is strong in all directions
due to the tall glass area and relatively upright pillars.
Performance
The 0–100 km/h time
of 7.0 seconds is adequate for urban and motorway driving. Overtaking at
highway speeds is confident up to 120 km/h, though the 150 km/h top speed
limiter leaves little headroom beyond cruising pace. The 201 hp motor delivers
smooth, linear torque from standstill. Wind noise at motorway speeds is
noticeable due to the upright crossover profile.
Braking
Regenerative braking
is standard with adjustable intensity levels. One-pedal driving is available
for urban use. Brake feel is consistent across regen and friction systems. The
1,607–1,665 kg kerb weight is manageable for the braking hardware fitted.
Autopilot
Adaptive cruise
control with stop-and-go functions across UAE motorways. Lane-keeping assist
provides steering input on clearly marked roads. No Level 2+ autonomous driving
system is offered. The 540-degree camera view assists parking but does not
function as a driving aid at speed.
Handling
The 2,700 mm
wheelbase provides stability, while the compact 4,432 mm overall length makes
multi-storey car park navigation straightforward — height clearance at 1,560 mm
is well below the standard 2.1 m barrier. The turning circle is tight for urban
U-turns and mall car parks. The 360-degree camera is a practical aid.
Ride
The suspension is
tuned for comfort over UAE's predominantly smooth urban surfaces. The
lightweight body means sharper imperfections — speed bumps and expansion joints
— are felt more directly than in heavier premium alternatives. Passenger
comfort at motorway cruise is acceptable, though high-speed damping is not as
polished as European competitors.
Warranty and After-Sales
AGMC, part of the Al
Habtoor Group, is the official Geely distributor in the UAE. A dedicated Geely
flagship showroom and after-sales centre operates in Dubai, with further
facilities in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Vehicle warranty is expected at five years
or 150,000 km; battery warranty is anticipated at eight years or 200,000 km —
competitive with segment standards. Geely's global parts supply chain,
supported by Volvo-group logistics, provides stronger parts availability than
most Chinese EV newcomers in the UAE market.
Grey Import vs Official Dealer
Grey import Geometry
C units sourced from China typically lack UAE-specific software calibration,
Arabic language support, and heat management tuning for Gulf ambient
temperatures. Insurance loading is 15–25% above official channel rates.
Government incentives — free Salik tag, green parking bays, reduced
registration fees — apply exclusively to official agency vehicles. The modest
DC charging speed means any software or hardware incompatibility with UAE
charging networks would significantly impact daily usability.
Cost of Ownership
At AED 129,900, the
Geometry C 400 GS is one of the most affordable electric crossovers available
through an official UAE dealership. For a buyer covering 20,000 km per year
with a home wall box, annual electricity cost is estimated at AED 900–1,200
(DEWA rate) for the GS, versus AED 6,000–9,000 for a comparable petrol
crossover. Annual energy savings are estimated at AED 5,000–8,000.
Insurance estimates
through official UAE channels range from AED 5,000 to AED 8,000 annually. EV
servicing costs are lower than ICE equivalents — estimated at AED 1,200–2,000
per year. Government incentives include a free Salik tag (toll charges of AED 4–6
per gate still apply), green parking bay access with a four-hour session limit,
and reduced RTA registration fees.
Depreciation risk is
moderate-to-high. The Geometry sub-brand has limited UAE resale data, and
first-generation Chinese EVs in this price bracket typically face 35–45%
depreciation over three years. AGMC's established reputation and Geely's
Volvo-group parentage provide some brand reassurance. The 70 kWh GF variant is
likely to hold value better due to its stronger range proposition — buyers
intending to keep the car beyond three years should consider the GF for this
reason alone.
