2025 Avatr 11 Review UAE
Official Range and Battery
Two CATL NMC
(ternary lithium) battery packs sit on the 750-volt platform. The 90 kWh pack
delivers approximately 460–490 km WLTP in RWD form and 420–440 km with AWD. The
larger 116 kWh pack, exclusive to RWD variants, stretches the claim to 575–600
km WLTP — comfortably covering a Dubai–Abu Dhabi return trip on a single
charge.
Real-World Range
UAE summer heat and
sustained AC demand typically reduce BEV range by 15–25 per cent. The 90 kWh
RWD can realistically deliver 345–415 km in peak summer and 390–465 km in
cooler months. The 116 kWh RWD should manage 430–510 km during summer. Highway
cruising at 120–140 km/h will sit at the lower end; city driving with
regenerative braking favours the upper end.
Home Charging
On a standard 11 kW
villa wall box, the 90 kWh pack charges from empty to full in approximately
10.5 hours — an overnight routine. The 116 kWh pack extends that to around 13.5
hours. At DEWA's residential rate of AED 0.23/kWh, a full 90 kWh top-up costs roughly
AED 20.70; the 116 kWh pack costs approximately AED 26.70.
Public Fast Charging
The 750-volt
architecture supports DC fast charging at up to 240 kW via CCS2, adding 200 km
of range in roughly 10 minutes under optimal conditions. A 10–80 per cent
session takes approximately 20 minutes on the 90 kWh battery and around 30
minutes on the 116 kWh pack. UAE networks including DEWA Green Charger, E2GO,
UAEV, and GreenParking are compatible. Tesla Supercharger access depends on
adapter availability and is not guaranteed.

Avatr 11 — Battery & Charging
Cabin Comfort
Full-grain
semi-aniline Nappa leather and a microfibre suede headliner set the material
standard. Rear passengers enjoy generous legroom thanks to the 2,975 mm
wheelbase, though the fastback roofline does trim headroom for taller
occupants. Avatr's zero-gravity front seats offer heating, ventilation, and
multi-point massage as standard on Performance trims.
Driver Comfort
The driving position
sits low for an SUV, aided by electrically adjustable seats with memory and a
tilt-and-telescopic steering column. A triple-screen dashboard — 10.25-inch
digital cluster, 15.6-inch central touchscreen, and 10.25-inch passenger display
— places controls within easy reach. Visibility is solid forward but the
swooping roofline limits rear-three-quarter sightlines.
AC Performance
Dual-zone automatic
climate control with an integrated air purifier handles UAE summer heat. Remote
pre-cooling via the Huawei HiCar app allows the cabin to cool before entry.
Ventilated front seats are fitted to Performance trims. The panoramic glass roof
benefits from a UV-blocking coating, though aftermarket tinting remains
advisable for sustained 45°C exposure.
Luggage
Boot space measures
545 litres with all seats in place — competitive within the segment. The wide,
flat load floor accommodates weekend luggage or family shopping. No front trunk
(frunk) is offered on any variant.
Infotainment
Huawei's HarmonyOS
powers the 15.6-inch central touchscreen, delivering fluid response times and
over-the-air update capability. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported.
Arabic language support is available within the HarmonyOS interface. The 25-speaker
Meridian Excellence surround sound system is standard on Performance trims.
Navigation includes charging station route planning.
Safety
Huawei's ADS 2.0
advanced driving system deploys 34 sensors, including three LiDAR units, 11
cameras, and radar arrays. Standard ADAS includes autonomous emergency braking,
adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot
monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a 360-degree camera. Multiple airbags
and a high-strength steel-aluminium body structure protect occupants. No Euro
NCAP rating has been published to date.
How Does it Drive?
The Avatr 11
delivers a composed, refined drive character typical of premium EVs. The low
centre of gravity from the floor-mounted battery pack inspires confidence
through direction changes. Forward visibility is commanding; the rear camera
compensates for the coupe roofline's blind spots.
Performance
AWD variants
dispatch 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds — more than adequate for Sheikh Zayed Road
overtaking. RWD models complete the sprint in 6.6 seconds, still brisk for a
vehicle weighing over 2,100 kg. Wind noise remains well managed at 120 km/h;
road roar depends on tyre choice.
Braking
Regenerative braking
offers adjustable levels via paddle shifters. One-pedal driving mode is
available, reducing brake wear and recovering energy in stop-and-go Dubai
traffic. Conventional brake feel is progressive and confidence-inspiring.
Autopilot
Huawei ADS 2.0
provides Level 2+ autonomous driving capability. Adaptive cruise control with
stop-and-go, lane centring, and automatic lane changes on highways form the
core suite. The 34-sensor array supports intelligent parking assist with remote
parking via smartphone — useful in tight UAE multi-storey car parks.
Handling
High-speed stability
is a strength, aided by the wide 1,970 mm track and low battery placement.
Low-speed manoeuvrability is acceptable for its class, though the 2,425 kg kerb
weight (AWD) is felt in tight car park manoeuvres. The 360-degree camera and parking
sensors ease mall parking.
Ride
Air suspension
(where fitted) delivers a supple ride that absorbs UAE road imperfections well.
Body control remains taut through undulations on the E11 highway. Rear
passengers benefit from composed damping, making long-distance trips
comfortable.
Warranty and After-Sales
Smart Mobility
International Commercial Agencies LLC is the sole authorised Avatr distributor
in the UAE, operating a showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. After-sales
service is handled by EVS UAE with workshop locations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and
Ajman. Both the vehicle and battery carry unlimited-kilometre warranties — a
significant confidence signal for a newcomer brand. Parts availability remains
an emerging consideration as the dealer builds inventory depth.
Grey Import vs Official Dealer
Grey-imported Avatr
11 units sourced from China may carry GB/T charging connectors incompatible
with UAE CCS2 infrastructure, voiding any fast-charging capability without
expensive adapter solutions. Warranty coverage, Huawei software updates, and
battery guarantees are forfeited on unofficial imports. Insurance premiums
typically carry a 15–25 per cent loading for grey-market vehicles. DriveEV
strongly recommends purchasing exclusively through Smart Mobility International
to secure the unlimited-km warranty and UAE-spec CCS2 charging.
Cost of Ownership
Purchase prices span
AED 232,000 for the entry RWD 90 kWh Base to AED 320,000 for the RWD 116 kWh
Performance. A full home charge on the 90 kWh battery costs approximately AED
20.70 at DEWA's AED 0.23/kWh rate, yielding a running cost of roughly AED 0.045/km.
Over 20,000 km annually, energy costs total around AED 900 — compared to
approximately AED 6,200 for a comparable petrol SUV, delivering annual savings
of roughly AED 5,300.
Insurance estimates
range from AED 5,500 to AED 8,000 annually depending on variant and driver
profile. EV service intervals are longer and cheaper than petrol equivalents,
with no oil changes, fewer brake replacements (thanks to regenerative braking),
and simplified drivetrain maintenance.
Depreciation risk is
moderate-to-high. As a first-generation model from a brand new to the UAE,
resale values are unestablished. Buyers should factor in potential rapid
depreciation during the first three years, partially offset by the unlimited
warranty. UAE government incentives include a free Salik tag (toll charges of
AED 4–6 per gate still apply), designated green parking bays with a four-hour
session limit, and reduced RTA registration fees.
