Bahrain Partners with BYD to Build Regional EV Assembly Plant

The Kingdom of Bahrain has signed a memorandum of understanding with Chinese automaker BYD to establish an EV assembly plant in the Salman Industrial City. The facility is expected to produce up to 50,000 vehicles annually for the GCC market.

The plant will create over 2,000 jobs and position Bahrain as a regional hub for EV manufacturing.
